Reflective Learning Wine Making Project

Based on this project the three important Taylor's Graduate Capability that helped me and my group to complete the task of "Wine Making Project" successfully are discipline specific knowledge, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.

The wine making project is a group project whereby we are given a task to develop our own hand made wine from scratch. From this project I have managed to achieve the three skills that had been mentioned before. The skill of discipline specific knowledge had been achieved from this project because I was able to put what I had learnt from  theory class into making this project successful. Basically we learned what wine are made out of, and how the process to make them. Although in the industry they uses advance technology but we also can make them by ourselves. The things that I have learnt in class was put into a good use. We use our knowledge from what we learn in class into making this wine. Next is the communication skills. Since I am not very familiar with the other group members, so I tend to speak less and not very confident with my communication skills. But through this group project it has definitely helps me by bringing up my confidence in my communication skills by interacting with other members, and with other people and the lecturer himself during this project. The third skill is the interpersonal skills. By doing group project it had definitely has intensified my interpersonal skills. I understand the value of teamwork and how to manage a group of people to work together in order to achieve the goals. I manage to build up my interpersonal skills better than before because I get to meet new people and learn about them as well as understanding them.

In order to improve the skills that I have used, I need to do more on group working because by interacting with other people and working together with different kind of people with different background and personalities I manage to improve my communication skills and also my interpersonal skills. Other than that, by doing practical project it is a very good way of increasing my knowledge which helps me to put what I had learn into what I will be doing. Thus by doing more of group project each of this skills can be improve by every individuals.
